Becoming a Sponsor of Gertrude Contemporary is to become an integral part of one of the liveliest, most creative communities in the Southern Hemisphere. Our reputation for excellence in exhibitions and programming, and our track record for advocating for Australia’s leading talents in the early stages of their career means that your company’s association with Gertrude Contemporary places you ahead of the curve in innovation and creativity. Our community of sponsors are an integral part of our operations, participating in the highest quality of events, exhibitions and discussions that will ensure your brand is well placed, and your staff are stimulated through their involvement with Gertrude Contemporary. Our partnerships with Sponsors are more than logo placement - they are true partnerships, held in a spirit of mutual respect and shared responsibility to each other’s objectives.
Gertrude Contemporary's sponsors are Yanni Florence, Proclaim Management Solutions, Temple Brewing Company and Balckhearts and Sparrows.
Yanni Florence has sponsored Gertrude Contemporary as a Graphic Designer since 2000. During this time he has designed Gertrude Contemporary’s two major flag ship publications each year, the Gertrude Studios publications and the Octopus publications. Significantly Yanni Florence designed the major 280 page, full colour book Short Ride in Fast Machine, commemorating Gertrude Contemporary’s twenty year anniversary. This major publication charts the history of Gertrude Contemporary from its inception as an artist managed set of studios to its position today as an internationally renowned contemporary art space.

Proclaim has been a sponsor of Gertrude Contemporary since 2004. As an organisation that manages risk from a legal perspective this partnership is well pitched with Gertrude Contemporary whose mandate is risk, experimentation and creativity. Proclaim sponsor Gertrude Contemporary’s annual flagship exhibition, Octopus. In return for their support Gertrude Contemporary offer Proclaim staff art tours throughout Melbourne, special events at the gallery as well as tours of the extensive Proclaim art collection.
In 2010 our partnership with Proclaim won an Australian Business Arts Foundation (ABAF) Good Practice Award.
