Gertrude Contemporary's volunteers and interns provide extremely valuable support to gallery staff, studio artists and exhibiting artists. Gertrude Contemporary offers volunteer and internship opportunities to those wishing to gain experience in gallery operations, exhibition installation, archiving and events.
Gertrude has two parallel volunteer programs, for practical gallery management and exhibition installation, and arts management and gallery coordination. Volunteer hours are negotiated between the volunteers and the Gallery Coordinator.
Gertrude also offers voluntary internships for tertiary students required to undertake a work placement as part of their degree. Internship placements are negotiated between the student and the Gallery Coordinator.
To apply to join our wonderful team of volunteers and interns, please email Siobhan Sloper, Gallery Coordinator on [email protected]
