Since 1985, Gertrude has supported contemporary artists to produce and present new works and has been central to the development of many leading artistic careers. Unique as an organisation in Australia and the region, with dual emphasis as a space of both production and presentation, its history includes almost 400 artists who have participated in its 2-year Studio Program, presenting new projects and exhibitions by thousands of artists, along with public programs and initiatives supporting new generations of artists, writers, curators and performers.

Foundations Circle up to $999
Strengthen the foundations of what we do by keeping entry free and supporting the presentation of public programs, original writing and education activities that enhance audience understanding and experience of contemporary art.
Studio Scaffolding $1000 +
Gertrude has supported generations of Australian artists through its 16 highly subsidised studios. The studio program is more than just space. It provides professional development opportunities, including exhibition opportunities, peer and institutional exposure.
Structural Support $5000 +
Create a lasting impact by supporting the commissioning of new work and exhibitions by leading Australian artists and curators. Alternatively, direct your support to a special project or initiative, such as the annual fully-subsidised First Nations Studio opportunity.
Cornerstone Patron $10,000 +
Ensure Gertrude’s continued leadership and excellence in developing and exhibiting contemporary, risk-taking art and in supporting the careers of great Australian artists. Your transformative support will lead the way and can be directed to a focus area of your choice.
Future Visionary $1 million +
