2014 - 2016

Claire Lambe completed a Bachelor of Fine Art at Bristol College of Art in 1985, followed by postgraduate studies at the University of New South Wales in 1990 and a Master of Fine Art at Goldsmiths College, London in 1995. Recent exhibitions include: From Will to Form: TarraWarra Biennial, Victoria (2018); Mother Holding Something Horrific, Australian Centre for Contemporary Art, Melbourne (2017); Miss Universal (with Atlanta Eke), Gertrude Contemporary, Melbourne (2015); Strangefellows (with Lisa Young), West Space, Melbourne (2013); Lurid Beauty, National Gallery of Victoria, Melbourne (2015); Neverwhere, Gaia Gallery, Istanbul (2014); Melbourne Now, National Gallery of Victoria, Melbourne (2013); Lazyboy, Sarah Scout Presents, Melbourne (2012); Beadlestaff, Switchback Gallery, Monash University, Gippsland (2011); Ertographomania, CAST Gallery, Hobart (2010); and Yakety Sax (with Lou Hubbard) Sarah Scout Presents (2011).

Lambe was co-founder (with Elvis Richardson) of Death Be Kind, an artist-run project that ran from 2010–2012 in  Melbourne. She was a studio resident at Gertrude Contemporary from 2014–2016 and undertook residencies at ISCP, New York in 2016 and ACME studios, London in 2018. Lambe was the recipient of the Darebin Art Prize in 2017 and is currently a lecturer in Sculpture at the Victorian College of the Arts, University of Melbourne.
