Emily Ferretti

Emily Ferretti is a Melbourne based artist who grew up on a property in country Victoria. She makes images of selected still life objects and scenes that are reflective and symbolic. Rendered with representational and abstracted elements her work uses specific form and colour to evoke and highlight feelings of recollection.
Recent exhibitions include, Blue by hand Sophie Gannon Gallery Melbourne, Pot Plants and Landscapes Gertrude Contemporary Melbourne, Slowness Monash University Museum of Art, Small World West Space Melbourne, New works Melbourne Art Fair Project Room/ Sofitel Melbourne. The Churchie National Emerging Art Prize, Griffith University Art Gallery Brisbane, Royal Bank of Scotland Emerging Art Award, Sydney. She was a recipient of a Australia Council for the Arts New Work Grant in 2009, and in 2010 was a residency at the Cite des Arts Internationale Paris through the Art Gallery of NSW. Her work is held in public and private collections throughout Australia and overseas.
