Natalya Hughes

Natalya Hughes completed a Bachelor of Visual Arts with First Class Honours at the Queensland University of Technology, Brisbane, in 2001. She is currently undertaking a PhD at the College of Fine Arts, UNSW. Her recent solo exhibitions include Cut Painting, Bellas Milani Gallery, Brisbane 2004; Other Paintings, Bellas Milani Gallery, Brisbane 2003; and Recent Paintings, Metroarts Development Space, Brisbane 2001. Recent Group exhibitions include A Formula for Figures, Firstdraft Gallery, Sydney 2005; Prime: New Art from Queensland, Queensland Art Gallery, Brisbane 2005;A Cut Across, Plimsoll Gallery, Hobart 2004; and 2004: Australian Culture Now, National Gallery of Victoria, Melbourne 2004. Natalya’s work is included in the collections of Artbank, QUT Art Museum and the UQ Art Museum, as well as various corporate and private collections across Australia. Natalya is represented by Bellas Milani Gallery, Brisbane, and Neon Parc, Melbourne.
