Taree Mackenzie

Taree Mackenzie’s video and installation practice explores the perceptual effects of colour, light and space. Her work employs devices such as lighting and framing to create simple onscreen effects.
Recent solo exhibitions include Death be Kind, Melbourne; West Space, Melbourne; Rearview, Melbourne; BUS Projects, Melbourne and TCB Art Inc, Melbourne. Taree Mackenzie (b. Melbourne 1980) completed a Bachelor of Fine Arts (Painting) at the Victorian College of the Arts in 2008. She has been the recipient of a number of awards including an Arts Victoria Arts Development grant (2013), an Australia Council New Work grant (2012), an Australia Council Art Start grant (2012) and the Eric and Margot Cooper Travel Award (2008).
