Volker Tannert (West Germany) was an Artist in Residence in Studio 18 at 200 Gertrude Street in 1985, during which time the artist exhibited works to How Much Beauty Can I Stand – Contemporary Landscape Painting at the Australian Centre for Contemporary Art. 

Gertrude acknowledges the Wurundjeri people of the Kulin Nation as the traditional owners and custodians of the land and waters on which we operate. We pay our respects to the Wurundjeri people and their ancestors and Elders–past and present.
