The Gertrude Editions are an annual fundraising initiative that contributes significant financial support to our not-for-profit gallery and artist studios. The Gertrude Editions were initiated in 2002 to raise funds in support of Gertrude and to promote the connection between current studio artists and previous generations of leading Australian artists who have held studios or exhibitions at Gertrude.

The Gertrude Editions are held in numerous major private and institutional collections including the Museum of Contemporary Art, National Gallery of Victoria, Monash University Museum of Art and Geelong Gallery.

For Melbourne Art Fair, Gertrude will open our archive of past editions to showcase the breadth of influential artists that Gertrude has supported over the past 40 years of our operation.

Collectors will have the opportunity to own works that reflect the strength and diversity of the local Australian artistic community, while also supporting a key institution that enables our artists to thrive, including works by Mia Boe (2025), Nadine Christensen (2024), Mikala Dwyer (2023), Christian Thompson (2022), Elizabeth Newman (2021), Mira Gojak (2018), Damiano Bertoli (2017), Paul Yore (2016), Anne-Marie May (2014), and Jon Campbell (2013).
